The area has several attractions to visit while you are enjoying your stay with us.

Great Yarmouth: ( 3 miles)
All the fun of the Great British Sea-Side ! Beaches, Piers, Theatres with top line cabaret during peak season. Marina indoor pool centre. Sea Life Aquarium. Pleasure Beach Fun Fair. Town Market on Fridays and Saturdays. Good restaurants in Regent Road, interspersed amongst all the tourist shops, and along the sea front. All the normal amusement arcades, fish and chips etc.
Stock car racing track. Horse racing in season. Docks and Maritime Museum.
Regular bus service from just outside the camp gates.
Norfolk Broads:
Beautiful scenery and walks by the water. Feed the ducks ! Motor boats for hire, by the hour or day. ( Pricey but good fun for a different day out- take a picnic ). Oulton Broad has a nice park with play area for the kids and a couple of nice cafe's. ( Just off the A11 towards Lowestoft - about 7 mile). Wroxham and the other broads also worth a visit. Occasional boat trips can be booked at reception.
PleasureWood Hills Theme Park:
About 10 miles, off the left of the A11, just before Lowestoft. At the same turn off as Tesco's. All the white knuckle rides etc for big kids of all ages. Can be expensive if there are a lot of you but then it is a holiday !
Pettits Animal Adventure Park:
Off the A47, near Acle. Lots of stuff for the younger kids. Animal petting, small zoo, adventure playground etc
Snetterton Park Race Circuit:
On the A47 towards Norwich. Motor Cycle and sports car racing at various times throughout the year.
Sunday Market: Just the place to go and get all those bargains that you never knew you needed! A great day out for Mum browsing the stalls !
Beccles Farmers Market:
Most Sundays during the season. Follow signs off A43 to Beccles and then follow signs for the 'Heliport'. Market is held in a big hangar at the heliport. Go early ! it starts early in the morning and soon sells out! Food like you haven't tasted in years. Meat, sausages, pies, cakes, bread, jams, cheeses, vegetables -all grown and produced locally. We can heartily recommend it !
Happisburgh :
One for the grown ups! Follow the coast road north from the camp, heading towards Cromer. Happisburgh is tucked away about 10 miles up, on the right. A village that is rapidly dissapearing into the sea due to coastal erosion - they need your support in their endeavours to save what is left. You can visit the only privately owned, working lighthouse in the country and also there is a delightful tea shop set on the edge of the cliffs. ( If it is still there - last time we went, the cliff edge was only about 150 m away ! )
Gorlestone:
Often ignored, smaller neighbour of Great Yarmouth, follow the A11 and its just on the other side of the river. We find it is a great place for smaller kids, with a nice little beach, beach side cafes and FREE parking (but go early). Also has a small theatre with shows on during the season. Well worth a visit if you want a day away from all of the razmatazz!

We always leave a pile of brochures of local attractions in the 'Welcome Folder' in the caravan. Our guests are encouraged to add any leaflets they get to the collection and make any comments that are useful for following occupants.
